Ramp Keys

Please reach out to Robin to purchase a new ramp key for $25.  You can also mail a check to the SRPCA  PO Box 835, Edgewater, MD  21037 and we will bring the key to you.  The fire department has a key to the ramp- they need access to launch their boat during emergencies.  Please keep this ramp and non-slip area clear to save a life.

Mosquito Truck Summer 2026

We have signed up to be on the  "Nighttime ULV fog for adult mosquito program," with Anne Arundel County again!  If it isn't raining, the trucks will drive and spray Sunday nights.

Please see the following information about this program, and an "opt out" form you can send directly.

Neighbors Volunteering to Keep SRPCA Space Beautiful!

SRPCA thanks Paul Van Cleef for his long-time volunteering to mow the Long Pier, Ingall's Beach and Clubhouse grounds. Thank you for everything Paul!

We also welcome Jackson Cranford to the mowing team!  Jackson has offered to take over as Paul retires from mowing.

We are also grateful that Todd Pounds mows the triangle park on Riverside Road which overlooks the boat ramp.

The SRPCA awards certificates of appreciation and pays them checks of appreciation. Also big thanks to Randy for helping with mowing.

We love our new decks and chairs at Ingalls Beach front - please check out!

Our VMP garden project at Ingalls Beach on the beach hillside is completed and approved!

We continue to work on an observation deck on the right side of the property.  This project was approved to move into permitting at the March meeting by a vote, and we have submitted to the county.  We have three bids for the work and will provide next steps soon.

We will also be looking into the construction of  hill "steps" as shown below.

Improvement Plans include updating our boat ramp too.

And we have a bid and will hire a contractor to survey all of the property owned by the 114 property owners  in the South River Park Citizens Association, Inc.

South River Park residents enjoy getting together at various social events and volunteer efforts.

Thank you for supporting your neighborhood.

Warehouse Creek Water Testing

SRPCA will hire Chesapeake Environmental Labs again to test suspected sources impacting numbers reported by Arundel Rivers. Our tests at the culvert, pond and spillway indicate these sources are indeed negatively impacting Warehouse Creek.

Our Ingalls Beach water is tested for FREE by the Anne Arundel County Health Department on a bi-weekly basis! Only on days when we SHOULD be swimming.  If there is a heavy rainfall the AAC Health Department states after rainfall of 1/2 inch or more, all Anne Arundel County beaches are under a no swimming/no direct water contact advisory for at least 48 hours due to predicted elevated bacteria levels from rainwater runoff and increased health risks.    On 6/15/2026 our beach scored 11 out of 104! This is fantastic because the number is very low, meaning the water quality is very good!

The South River Federation charges us $400 to test water every week weather its been pouring rain or not. This testing is done at the short pier at the end of Park.  The SRF identifies it as "Riverside Road."  So far the water quality has been good with scores recorded on   June 11 at 10, June 18 at 20, and for June 26 scores were higher, reported at 82, but still within an acceptable range.
